Borchu
Borchu was a Space Marine of the White Scars Chapter.[1]
Biography
During the Hunt for Voldorius, Borchu was a Scout serving in a squad under Sergeant Kholka as part of Task Force Nomad.[2]
Some time afterwards, Borchu was elevated to the status of Battle-Brother proper. He was later killed in battle with Chaos forces on the planet Nephis-Ra. Afterwards, the enemy recovered his body and used it as a vessel for the Daemon Kagayaga, who would use it to help in the invasion of the planet Tephra VII. After the planet fell, Kagayaga was given commanded of the Chaos forces guarding the power plant Ignis Mons. It was there that the Daemon would fight his personal enemy and Borchu's old friend, Sergeant Kergis of the White Scars.[1] Kergis led several Space Marines into Ignis Mons to destroy the power plant. With its destruction the void shield protecting the main Chaos force was dispelled, allowing the Imperial forces and White Scars to attack them.[1]
Though Kergis was surprised, he fought the Daemon without holding back, knowing Borchu was truly gone. After a hard fought battle, Kergis managed to behead Borchu's body and send Kagayaga back to the warp. Afterwards, Kergis and the White Scars under his command destroyed the power plant. When Kergis brought word of his friend's possession back to his Chapter, the record of Borchu’s deeds were quietly purged from the tales the Chaplains told to remind the White Scars of their fallen brethren.[1]
