Brood Scum
Brood Scums are a type of Brood Brothers who form the majority of the Cult of the Second Son's forces.[1]
Description
Human in appearance, they infest the ruins of Hive Secundus in their thousands and infiltrate settlements and hives beyond the Dust Wall, spreading the influence of the Cult of the Second Son. Disguised as hive scum, they blend into the shadows of Necromunda, their alien traits revealed only upon close inspection.[1]
In Hive Secundus, Brood Scum operate like underhive gangs under the Malstrain Patriarch's control, scavenging Imperial weaponry and defending their territories while seeking new victims to convert. Their ranks mimic gang hierarchies, with leaders, champions, and newly infected recruits.[1]
When the Malstrain Cult attacks, Brood Scum form the core of its armies, often composed of corrupted defenders, descendants of lost regiments, or scavengers turned thralls. They wield heavy weaponry, operate vehicles marked with the cult's symbol, and exhibit tactics far more advanced than typical cult uprisings, making them a formidable force despite their fanatical alien devotion.[1]
