Bubonis[1]

Bubonis is a Nurgle Daemon Prince, who is merged with a Chaos Warlord Titan and he commands the Festering Death Traitor Titan Legion.[1]

History

Once known as Grand Master Marnic Bubon, he led the Silver Scythes Titan Legion, during the Great Crusade. When the Horus Heresy began, the Scythes were located in the rim of Imperial space and were far from the fighting that took place. However, the Titan Legion quickly succumbed to the lure of the Chaos God Nurgle and became the Festering Death. They then joined the traitorous Warmaster's forces and would win their new master's favour, leading Bubon to become the Daemon Prince Bubonis, after becoming merged with the Warlord Titan he commanded. However once Warmaster Horus was slain, Bubonis and the Festering Death joined the Warmaster's forces that fled to the Eye of Terror. The Daemon Prince now waits there, for the opportunity to seek his revenge against the Imperium.[1]

Abilities

In his Chaos Titan form, Bubonis is armed with a Rot Spitter, Corrupting Spittle and both arms wield the Claws of Nurgle. The Daemon Prince's body protrudes gaping mouthed tentacles, which shoot out gooey rot and his body's huge gaping mouth spits out long streams of corrupted slime. Bubonis also leaves a trail of sticky contagious slime behind him as well and also wields a special Plague Cannon that Nurgle awarded the Daemon Prince, 1200 years ago. This mighty weapon is gripped by the Claws of Nurgle, but Bubonis is unable to use them both at once.[1]

Trivia

Bubonis and the Festering Death were created by the Games Workshop employee James Funnell. They appeared in The Citadel Journal 9.[1]
