Burr was a world of the Imperium, ruled by the Adeptus Mechanicus.
In 831.M41 the famed Explorator Benedict Draconis returned to the world, with the Planetary Governor holding a banquet in his honour. This proved to be a fatal mistake when a swarm of mindshackle scarabs burst from the Explorator's brain and feasted upon the governor and his guests. From there, they infested the planet's PDF military echelons.[1]
With the planet's defenses now sabotaged, Necron Overlord Janzikh launched an invasion of the planet, firmly establishing it under his control. Janzikh's dissolution furnaces roared day and night on the world, ravaging it. By the time the Fire Lords 5th Company under Captain D'Estev arrived, all the Astartes lord could do was to destroy Janzikh in retaliation for his deeds.[1]
