Caldassa is a world of the Imperium, located deep in the Imperium Nihilus.[1]
In the Age of the Dark Imperium, the planet suffered a series of cult uprisings that plunged Caldassa into a state of anarchy. Responding to the planet's Astropathic distress call, Inquisitor Ostromandeus and his retinue were able to discretely make planetfall and seize control of Caldassa's polar vox-fortress. After wiring his servitor, Stentor-I-52, into the planet's vox-network, Ostromandeus broadcast a relentless series of sermons and addresses which destroyed the heretics' morale. Imperial forces later arrived to secure Caldassa - although they were able to return Caldassa to the Imperial fold, many of its citizens had been driven mad by Ostromandeus's unending castigations.[1]
