Campaign Badge
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
A Campaign Badge, also known as an Army Badge[2] was a type of Imperial honour awarded to warriors that had participated in a certain battle.[1]
Overview
Campaign badges were typically awarded to Imperial forces that had fought together in the same conflict. These badges could be awarded at any time; before, during, or after the campaign.[1]
They typically consisted of a geometric shape combined with an icon.[2]
Campaign badges would usually be displayed on armour or vehicle hulls, and in the case of Space Marines, on their left greaves. After the campaign, the badges would usually be removed, but in some cases a campaign badge might be incorporated into the honour standard or heraldry of an individual or group that participated.[2]
