Legio Metallica
I was under the impression the Legio Metallica and the Iron Skulls were the same thing? Unfortunately I have no readily available source in which to suggest finding this, other than the German version of Lexicanum: http://wh40k.lexicanum.de/wiki/Legio_Metallica --Mob 16:44, 10 June 2007 (CEST)
- I think that you are right. I have (in my hands) White Dwarf 178 (of 1994) with an article called "The Titan Legions" by Rick Priestly which retells the birth of the Adeptus Mechanicus. In that article a couple of Titan Legions are listed (Legio Ordo Sinister, Legio Destructor=The Beasts of Steel, Legio Mortis=Deaths Heads - Traitor Legion, and also the Legio Metalica=Iron Skulls). It is the Titan Legion under the command of Kurt Mannheim which was all but destroyed in the 2nd War for Armageddon. The Legion was later rebuilt, and I suppose that it fought again in the 3rd War for Armageddon. Irulan 20:35, 10 June 2007 (CEST)
- Thanks for that information! While reviewing sources for Kurtiz Mannheim today, I found a source that confirms the Legio Metallica was all but destroyed in the 2nd War and rebuilt to fight again in the 3rd, but it does not mention Iron Skulls at all, unfortunately. Do you think these two Titan articles should be merged? I would like to suggest so, but without a source at hand I am loathe to edit them.--Mob 16:45, 26 June 2007 (CEST)
