Chaos Androids[3]

Chaos Androids, also called androids of Chaos,[4] are diabolical daemon-possessed machine-constructs. Lacking flesh, they appear as shining plasteel skeletons.[2][3]

Description

The inert bodies of ancient androids of Chaos are exceedingly rare finds in M42 and highly sought after by the Dark Mechanicum. These androids were built to house Neverborn, replete with forgotten technologies, made by hands unknown, for purposes long forgotten. These androids are of terrible aspect, skull-faced and grim, fashioned of black metal, not dissimilar to a necron, in fact, but entirely of human make.[4]

The True Mechanicum group known as the Disciples of Nul currently have a dead and inert, but still fully functional, android of Chaos in their possession. It is bereft of its former Neverborn occupant. The Disciples of Nul prepared it as a vessel for their master.[4] They used the Android alongside the Iron Warriors Warsmith Kraverek in order to attempt to summon and bind Vashtorr the Arkifane.[5]

Chaos Squats Androids

Chaos Androids were skeletons made of hardened plasteel, their intricate design a closely guarded secret known only to certain Chaos Squats fabricators collaborating with Chaos Renegades. Each android houses a daemon - an animating spirit trapped within its plasteel frame by the dark magic of a Chaos Sorcerer. This daemon despises its imprisonment and constantly seeks a way to escape, but it is compelled to follow any direct orders it receives. However, the daemon always strives to twist the commands it’s given in the most devious way possible, aiming to avoid fulfilling them as intended.[2][3]
