Crius was intended to become the first Grand Master of the Grey Knights 9th Brotherhood.^[1]

Malcador the Sigillite originally intended the title go to Garviel Loken, but the former Luna Wolf refused the honour. Instead of going to Titan, Loken instead sought to settle things with the Sons of Horus on Terra as the Horus Heresy neared its end.^[1]
