Cromwell

Cromwell is a Radical Inquisitor, who was declared a Traitor by the large Inquisitorial Conclave he served with during the 13th Black Crusade.^[1]

His downfall began when the Conclave was formed to investigate the Sentinel Worlds early in the Crusade. This was after the region suffered strange power surges and an Emperor's Tarot reading foresaw dire omens there. Once they arrived, the Conclave's Inquisitors soon discovered that the forces of Chaos had activated an ancient Aeldari Warp Gate. Worse still, the Gate was being used to transport a powerful Daemon Prince into Realspace. This led the Conclave to do battle against the Chaos forces and both sides were also attacked by the Aeldari as well. However, the Conclave was not a united front in the battle and its different factions could not agree on a single course of action. As a result of this schism, Cromwell was declared a Traitor and the Puritan Inquisitor Allysa Collack entered the Warp Gate to stop the Daemon Prince from materialising. Though she was successful, Collack was declared lost afterwards. As for Cromwell, he was burned horribly by a flamer as the battle neared its end, but the Traitor survived and is now slowly regenerating.^[1]
