Cyranis is an Imperial[1] Jungle World.[2]

History

In late M41, it was visited by a Blood Angels warship, after contact from the world suddenly stopped. A squadron of Scouts were dispatched to Cyranis' Planetary Governor's palace, to discover what had happened. The Scouts found a massacre upon their arrival there, as bodies of hundreds of PDF troops and Adeptus Arbites lay scattered throughout the Palace's grounds. When they discovered the perpetrator was a blood-spattered Maleceptor, who was stalking the survivors still found in the palace, the Scouts quickly called to their warship for reinforcements. A Terminator squad soon arrived at the palace, but the veterans found themselves outmatched and quickly killed by the Maleceptor, which became known as the Scourge of Cyranis. It is not known what became of the Scourge afterwards[1], but Cyranis still remained whole.[2]

However in M42, the world was attacked by the Orks of Waaagh! Zignatt and the Lamenters came to Cyranis' aid. The Blood Angels' High Chaplain, Astorath, later arrived as well and he led the Chapter's Death Company against the Xenos invaders. Thanks to their glorious sacrifice, the Lamenters were able to defeat the Waaagh!.[2]
