Cyraxus is an Imperial Research Station of the Adeptus Mechanicus. It is known to be located somewhere within the Dominion of Storms, though its exact location has been lost to the Imperium.[1]
History
Cyraxus rose to importance during the Horus Heresy. At that time, the Mechanicum's Loyalist Skitarii Conclaves became cut off from Sol and Mars, due to the conflict with Warmaster Horus' forces. With no way to access the main body of the Mechanicum, the conclaves decided to begin stockpiling their recovered techno-relics on Cyraxus. This was due to its secluded location, which the conclaves hoped would keep the relics safe from those who might misuse their powers. Because of this practice, Cyraxus became one of Ultima Segmentum's largest armouries during the last years of the Horus Heresy. However, its exact location was known only to the Loyalist conclaves that stored their relics there. Thus, when several of these conclaves were destroyed in the Battle for Honourum in 010.M31, this ultimately resulted in Cyraxus' whereabouts becoming lost to the Imperium.[1]
