Da'ka Jumoke
Da'ka Jumoke is a Chaos Lord, whose patron has charged him with ensuring the Flesh Tearers fall to Heresy.[1]
Biography
This led Jumoke to secretly invade the Imperial world Nekkaris, with his Warband in late M41. Once there, the Chaos Lord corrupted one of its citizens, named Gylon, into the ways of Chaos. Gylon would then become a Demagogue and created a Chaos Cult, which later began an uprising with Jumoke's aid. The world's capital was then seized by the Cult, who began killing anyone not willing to worship the Chaos Gods. The Flesh Tearers would then come to aid Nekkaris and began advancing upon the capital with the world's military. However, before the Imperials could reach the capital, the Cult and Warband launched a continuous artillery barrage from armoured vehicles, which stopped the advance cold. Even with the Flesh Tearers' might, they would not have been able to survive the Chaos forces' rate of fire and so Captain Temel was selected to lead a group of Scouts to destroy the artillery in a set time limit. Doing so would then allow the Imperials to reach the capital and end the rebellion. While the Scouts succeeded, the Flesh Tearers would instead leave Nekkaris in favour of answering a plea for aid from the Blood Angels.[1]
The Flesh Tearers' Chapter Master, Gabriel Seth, felt time was of the essence, so he refused to wait to evacuate Temel's Scouts and instead regretfully left them to their fates. Gylon soon informed Jumoke of this and hoped that the Chaos Lord would give the order to fully seize the capital from the Imperium's control. To the Demagogue's dismay, however, Jumoke instead gave the order for his Warband to begin leaving Nekkaris. When Gylon pleaded with the Chaos Lord not to abandon his Cult, an enraged Jumoke grabbed the Demagogue by the face and lifted him up. The Chaos Lord then explained, as he began crushing Gylon's skull, that he did not care about Nekkaris or the Demagogue's Cult. Jumoke's only purpose for invading the world was to fulfil his patron's desire to see the Flesh Tearers' fall to Heresy. Thus the Chaos Lord's efforts on Nekkaris were not fruitless, as he knew the decision to leave the Chapter's Scouts behind had scarred Seth's soul. With enough such scars, the Chapter Master would fall and with him so would the Flesh Tearers. However, since the Chapter was now gone, this meant Nekkaris was no longer useful to aid Jumoke in his goal. The same applied to Gylon as well and the Chaos Lord then ignited the Demogogue aflame with his gauntlet.[1]
