• Da Gunz of Vanarone was a game hosted on the 29th of August 1997 at the Games Workshop store in Cardiff. Hobbyists were invited to play, with terrain and miniatures provided for by the store and staff.^[1]
• The name of the battle, as well as the premise of having to fight up a cliff, is a direct referenced to either (or both) the The Guns of Navarone film or the novel.^[2]
  • It is likely the "Big Gunz" were some form of Imperial artillery, based upon the referenced film/novel^[2]
