Dark Coil (Novel Series)
The Dark Coil series written by Peter Fehervari is a series of short stories and novels where characters, places, events and lore often carry over from one tale (or strand) to another, occasionally in a non-linear fashion. Familiarity with one story might shed fresh light on another, perhaps answering a lingering question or prompting a new one that might otherwise have gone unasked. [1]
As of August 2024, Black Library had published two novels and nine short stories under the umbrella term of the Dark Coil [2] but according to the author himself, all of his stories are written as both stand-alone pieces and as threads of the wider tapestry of the Dark Coil. [1]
By October 2024, two more Omnibus editions of the Dark Coil had been announced: The Dark Coil: Damnation containing the novels Fire Caste and Cult of the Spiral Dawn as well as seven short stories and The Dark Coil: Ascension which is made up of the novels The Reverie and Requiem Infernal and eight short stories.[3][4]
