Darkand is an Imperial world.[1]
At one point Darkand was invaded by the Tyranid Splinter Fleet Cicatrix. The White Scars Chapter's 4th Brotherhood came to defend it. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the White Scars were victorious after Joghaten Khan broke the Splinter Fleet's will by personally killing the Hive Tyrant that led it.[2]
