Darokh'Var
Darokh'Var is a Chaos Lord who commands The Blessed Warband and was a Captain in the Word Bearers Legion, during the Horus Heresy.[1]

Biography
However, as the Word Bearers travelled to invade Terra, Darokh'Var's warship, the Firebrand, became trapped in the Warp. When the Firebrand finally re-emerged, Darokh'Var and his forces realized that, although they had only been trapped for several days from their perspective, over a thousand years had passed. They soon discovered that the Imperium had defeated the Traitor Legions, who had been forced to flee into the Eye of Terror.[1]
The Captain was fanatically loyal to his Primarch Lorgar, though, and led his forces to attack Imperial worlds, before fleeing back into the Warp. Once again, the Firebrand became trapped in the Warp and when it re-emerged yet another thousand years had passed. Darokh'Var would continue his attacks despite this and a total of several decades passed in the Warp for the Word Bearers, while millennia passed in Realspace. Their curse ended, though, when the Firebrand emerged as the 13th Black Crusade raged. Now that he no longer had to worry about being trapped in the Warp, Darokh'Var was determined to earn the Chaos Gods' favour and become as gloriously altered as the Chaos Space Marines he saw fighting. Renaming his forces as The Blessed, Darokh'Var vowed he would take the lives of one hundred Imperial heroes upon his relic sacrificial altar. This would show the Gods his true devotion and Darokh'Var believed that they would reward him with immortal Daemonhood.[1]
He is a is a shrewd tactician, however, and recognizes that The Blessed are re-joining a war they know little about. Thus, Darokh'Var is currently leading only an elite force of his most trusted warriors, as he strikes at key Imperial locations that will help the Chaos Lord to gauge his enemies and learn their weaknesses. He has also begun searching for the relic known as the Tome of Veiled Revelation and attacked a settlement on Palathos to find its location. After The Blessed had killed the settlement's population, Darokh'Var entered a shrine and claimed an Aquila that was entombed with the body of an Imperial Saint. He discovered that the Aquila's back was etched with strange sigils, which Darokh'Var realized led to the Tome's location. With his goal close at hand, Darokh'Var ordered The Blessed to destroy the settlement before they left the world.[2]

The Chaos Lord wields the Daemon Sword Godsfang.[2]
