The Doombringers are a House Cawdor Gang, that is active in the Underhive of Necromunda's Hive Primus.[1a]

History

The Gang was scavenging in a deserted hive dome, when they were attacked and massacred by two Genestealers. Some members of the Doombringers managed to escape from the Xenos and several regrouped under the command of their Word-Keeper. They remained in the hive dome though, and days later, the Gang was attacked by the Genestealers again. This time the entire group of Doombringers were killed and the Word-Keeper was left mortally wounded. The sounds of their cries, however, drew the attention of the Doombringer known as the Furor, who had survived the Xenos' initial attack, but had become lost within the dome afterwards. The Furor was able to find the Doombringers' Word-Keeper moments later, who gave his power sword to the Gang member. The Word-Keeper then asked the Furor to avenge him by killing the Genestealers in the Emperor's name, before he died of his wounds. Moments later, a Genestealer appeared near the Furor, who readied himself to fight the Xenos. Though seconds later, he heard a noise and saw that the second Genestealer had appeared at his side. While the Furor was able to parry the second Genestealer's initial attacks, the Xenos quickly overwhelmed him and killed the Gang member. It is not known if any other Doombringers managed to survive the Genestealers' attacks.[1b]

Trivia

The Doombringers were created by Michael Turvey and they appeared in The Citadel Journal 23.[1a]
