Ekran Davaar
Ekran Davaar was a Sons of Horus Esoterist, who was among the Legion's envoy forces on the Death Guard's Homeworld, Barbarus, when it was invaded during the Horus Heresy.[1a]
History
He was then subsequently among the Sons of Horus forces, that Praetor Volkus Goraddin commanded on the Plains of Orthrya, as the Loyalists attacked it[1b]. Owing to their Gene-sire Mortarion's hatred of psykers, the Death Guard were loath to employ warpcraft as the Loyalist Primarchs El'Jonson and Russ led their Legions against the Traitors. Davaar, however, had no such deterrents and when faced with the terrible retribution coming at the hands of the Loyalists, he called forth Daemons to bolster the Traitors' ranks. El'Jonson neared his location as he did so, but the Dark Angels Primarch and his Paladins were not cowed by the appearance of such monsters. The Primarch then cut a bloody swathe through the Daemons, before killing Davaar and cosigning the Esoterist's mangled soul to the mercies of the Warp-spawn he had sought to control.[1a]
