El'Phanor is a Imperial world located in Segmentum Solar. Prior to its scouring at the hands of the Black Legion, it had been an important world within the Cadian Gate network.

History
A key location within the Cadian Gate network, El'Phanor had been a bulwark against Chaos incursion emerging from Segmentum Obscurus, repelling attacks into Segmentum Solar since the days of the Horus Heresy. Its defences were centred on the Grand Citadel of the Kromarch, a massive fortification overlooking the plains of Arabor.[2]
During the 4th Black Crusade of Abaddon the Despoiler in 001.M34, El'Phanor was the target of a massive invasion by the forces of Chaos.[3] Only a tenth of Abaddon's forces were able to reach the impenetrable fortress of the Kromarch, the planet's ruler, where a single blow from the daemon weapon Drach'nyen split the citadel's gates apart, allowing the forces of Chaos to devour the Kromarch and his family.[1b]
After the Fall of Cadia, work began on restoring the world of El'Phanor and it was once again made habitable as well as the site of a massive mausoleum dedicated to the fallen Cadians. [4]
