Elnaur Chasseurs
The Elnaur Chasseurs are elite[1b] and proud Astra Militarum Regiments, that are drawn from the male nobility of Elnaur.[1a]
Overview
They wear polished breastplates[1a], ornamental black carapaces[1b], plumed helmets and ceremonial cloaks. Chasseurs live by their own rigid code of honour and will not call upon Commissars to deal with those that break it. They are instead dealt with by the Regiments and this includes those crimes that warrant an execution. These crimes include theft, which is a minor misdemeanour for other Regiments, but to the Chasseurs it spoke of dishonour. In their eyes the only way to deal with such lawbreakers is death. These condemned Chasseurs are then stripped of their names, before they are whipped to death with a wire scourge. Even as they face their deaths, however, the condemned stand to attention. They know that the manner of their death, will affect the future of their brothers and nephews back on Elnaur.[1a]
Despite this, the Chasseurs led by Lord-Marshal Holzhauer turned upon the Imperium and joined the Malouri Uprising.[1a]
