Elysian Gate

The Elysian Gate is a Warp Gate within the Sol System.[1]
Overview
This ancient structure near Uranus was built by Humanity during the Dark Age of Technology to allow for rapid travel to and from the Sol System.[1] Appearing as a colossal open parabola which measured 3,000 kilometers across.[2] It allowed for safe bypassing of the System's Mandeville Point, greatly increasing travel efficiency.[1]
History
During the Solar War in the Horus Heresy, the Gate was heavily assailed by traitor fleets.[1] Afterward in their flight from Terra after the siege, many traitor ships would attempt to flee the Solar system through the gateway, running a gauntlet of hunting Ultramarines vessels which sought to intercept any who tried.[2]
