Etrus is a dour Imperial Fists Terminator, who is accustomed to the stoic defensive tactics and endless firing drills favored by his Chapter.[1b]

History

His Chapter's training has made him a great marksman, and Etrus has received many honours for his accomplishments. It is only in battle that he comes alive, though, as Etrus revels in the destruction his Assault Cannon can cause. In M42, Etrus was among the Imperial Fists[1b] that defended the Imperium's worlds in the Vertex Sector. When the vital world of Vertex, suffered an Ork invasion[1a] the Imperial Fists[1b] and several Space Marine Chapters came to its defence.[1a] Etrus would do battle with the invading Orks[1b], but his mission changed when the Xenos found a weakness in the Hive City of Acastus' defences. It had been protected during the invasion by a Void Shield network, which was projected from an armoured bunker designated Shield Generator Gamma-9. However the Orks would discover this and several hordes were sent to destroy it, so the Xenos could invade the Hive City.[1a]

The Chapters became aware of the danger[1a] and each sent a Terminator to protect the Shield Generator. Etrus was sent by the Imperial Fists to defend it and he was joined by the Blood Angel Sergeant Angelus, the Salamander Magmus, Space Wolf Stormheart and the Ultramarine Lucian.[1b] Though they numbered only five, in the close confines of the armoured bunker, these Terminator-armoured warriors would be in their element. None would allow the Orks access to Shield Generator Gamma-9, without a fierce battle.[1a]
