Evacuation of Barac

The Evacuation of Barac was an engagement in M38 involving, at minimum, elements of the White Scars legion and Flaming Skulls traitor titan legio. It is notable for being the battle in which the Land Speeder Tempest was first created. After the techmarines of the White Scars developed the craft to provide fire support capable of matching the speed of the legion's bikes, they were led into battle by Veteran Sergeant Jegun. A Reaver Battle Titan of the Legio Magna closing on the Imperial rear command post was attacked and destroyed. Jegun was killed in the explosion, his sacrifice forever honoured in one of the White Scars Tempest squadrons names: "Jegun's Avengers."[1]
