Feron (Imperial Fists)

Feron is a Scout of the Imperial Fists Chapter.[1]
Biography
He was among its forces fighting an Ork invasion on Kolkun, where they held their battle line in a desert called the Pumice Oceans. Feron was charged with data-gathering the Orks' gunnery positions in the Oceans' Tarkoom Flats for a major operation the Imperial Fists were launching against the Xenos the next day, when the sky lit up from a battle two miles away from him. From listing to his Vox, the Scout learned that one of his Chapter's Attack Bike Squadrons had been attacked by the Orks. When he learned his Battle Brothers were pinned down and dying at the Xenos' hands, Feron rushed to aid them and tracked their location through the squad's life signals. Soon only one life signal remained active and the Imperial Fists in the area were also ordered to withdraw, due to the Chapter's forces suffering heavy losses from the Orks' attacks. Feron refused to do so, however, and continued to kill or escape from the Xenos, as he tracked down the location of the remaining Attack Bike squadron member who was still alive.[1]
The Scout's search led him to infiltrate one of the Xenos' camps, where he found an Apothecary who had been tortured and strung up by the Orks. After killing the Xenos guards nearby, Feron freed the Apothecary and attempted to escape with him. However the Apothecary had been badly wounded and when he learned that only the Scout had arrived to save him, he stopped Feron. The Apothecary thanked the Scout for helping him, but noted that with his injuries it would be impossible for the two of them to escape. In truth, the Apothecary had only been willing himself to live in hopes that the Imperial Fists would recover the Cryo-Box he had stored his slain squadron's Gene-seed in. He stated that the Chapter could not afford to lose that much Gene-seed and tasked Feron with saving it. The Apothecary then told the Scout to take his bike in order to escape the Ork base, which the Xenos had stored nearby alongside the Cryo-Box. Once Feron agreed to do so and promised he would not fail, the Scout fulfilled the Apothecary's final request and granted his dying Battle Brother, the Emperor's Peace. With the Orks being alerted to his presence, Feron quickly booby-trapped the Apothecary's body with explosives, before he made his escape with the Cryo-Box. With the speed of the Apothecary's bike, he succeeded in doing so and his trap then exploded, killing several Orks, as Feron drove off to reunite with the Imperial Fists.[1]
