The Ferox was a Strike Cruiser in service with the Soul Drinkers Chapter.[1a] At some point the Ferox was converted into a darkship, its engines and weapons systems crippled so it could serve as a prison for the Fleet Based Chapter.[1a]
After the Librarian Sarpedon seized control of the Chapter and led them in rebelling against the Imperium, the Soul Drinkers suffered a civil war. The surviving Imperial Loyalist Marines remaining in the Chapter were rounded up and imprisoned on the darkship, which was then destroyed.[1b]
