Ferund Irnwelt
Ferund Irnwelt is a Death Guard Chaos Lord, who commands the Rustwalkers Warband. He and the Rustwalkers took part in the Charadon Campaign's invasion of the Tri-forge Cluster.[1]
History
They were among the Death Guard's forces that attacked Thrios, where the Rustwalkers seized control of a factorum. It produced variants of Hellhounds, which soon gained ferociously warped Machine Spirits, after Irnwelt had the factorum corrupted. Scores of these twisted Hellhounds were sent against the Imperial forces defending Thrios and this led an Imperial strike force to attack the factorum. Irnwelt, however, allowed the strike force to invade the factorum, by only having Chaos Cults defending its walls. When the Imperial strike force entered the factorum's depths, though, the Chaos Lord finally launched his ambush. In the battle that followed, numerous corrupted Hellhounds, Cultists, and the Rustwalkers themselves, ensured that the strike force was completely destroyed.[1]
