Fireheart
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
| This article is about the Eldar superweapon. For other uses of Fireheart, see Fireheart (disambiguation). |
The Fireheart was a Dark Eldar device capable of destroying the core of a planet.[1] The Fireheart's psychic pulse resonates to a world's molten core, inflaming it to such an extent that magma boils to the surface in a cataclysm spanning the entire planet.[2]
Duriel
As it was psychically charged, the Dark Eldar could not activate it and thus it required the use of Craftworld Eldar Farseers when it was deployed during the Battle of Duriel against the Tyranids.[1]
Post-Duriel
After the successes against Tyranids on Duriel, craftworlds Iyanden and Biel-Tan would bring the Fireheart to use on many other worlds in a campaign to destroy Tyranids and deny them biomass.[1]
