Flamer Section
Flamer Sections were infantry formations used by the Solar Auxilia.[1]
Meant to closely support Lasrifle Sections, Flamer Sections were ideal tactical reserves, used to counter enemy penetrations of the Tercio's line. Flamer Sections were deployed in a variety of ways, depending on battlefield conditions. In set-piece battles, these sections were stationed just behind the Lasrifle Section, moving up at the last moment to engage the enemy's charge with a wall of flames. In Zone Mortalis engagements, the Flame Sections often served as a vanguard force to clear the cramped passageways of enemies.[1]
Flamer Sections consisted of ten troopers, one sergeant and nine auxiliaries. They were armed with flamers units, capable of incinerating dozens of lightly armoured foes like Orks with each blast of alchemically-fuelled fire. They also carried frag and krak grenades and wore reinforced void armour.[1]
