Forge-synod
A forge-synod is the governing body of Tech-Priests that typically rule over a Forge World.[1a]
These Technarchies[2b] of various Forge Worlds ultimately owe fealty to the Great Synod of Mars and follow their dictates.[3a] The ruling synod of a Forge World claim to draw their authority from the most holy auspices of the Machine-God Himself.[2a]
Overview
The ruling council[1a] of a forge-synod is lead by the Forge World's Fabricator General and often has 2 other tribunes of similar importance who lead the synod alongside their fabricator general. All manner of Tech-Priests are represented in a synod such as Genetors, logi, artisans, electro-priests. Lexmechanics, skitarii marshals, xenologians, cybersmiths. Reductors, explorators, fabricators, tech-acquisitors, and many more.[1b]
Synods are often held within ostentatious conclave chambers in buildings or cities built for governance and pageantry. However, these large meeting can also occur within the noosphere, where communication is most efficient.[1b] Often giving orders and delegating tasks, these forge-synod provide consultation or permit sanction for for Tech-Priests whom owe fealty to the individual Forge World. They also provide endorsement or censure for various deeds or misdeeds, appointed or requisitioning voidships, and so on.[1a]
Explorators will be often provided hearings for significant discoveries. If the explorator has no standing amongst a synod they will typically require the patronage of a higher ranking Tech-Priest with standing in the synod to sponsor them in order to be provided a hearing during a synod meeting.[1a]
A forge-synod can have many roles for those with standing. One such role is an interrogator.[1b]
