Fortuna Minor was once an Imperial world, until it was conquered by an Ork Speed Waaagh!.[1]
History
Its captive Imperial population, was then made to build weaponized effigies of the Orks' Gods, Gork and Mork. While the Imperium later sent a strike force to liberate Fortuna Minor, their deployment to the world's surface was undone by a cunning attack by the Xenos. This caused its surviving fleet to retreat, leaving those trapped on Fortuna Minor's surface to fend for themselves in a hopeless fight for survival. However Lord Commander Solar Arcadian Leontus is among them and he intends to reclaim the world from the Orks, despite now not having an army to command.[1]
After rallying the remaining Imperials, Leontus was able to resist the Greenskin presence on the presence to the point of nearly retaking the primary spaceport before Imperial Navy reinforcements arrived, relieving the world.[2c]
