Fourteenth Ynglevian Lancers
The Fourteenth Ynglevian Lancers was a ten thousand-strong Astra Militarum Regiment from Ynglevia, that was charged with reclaiming Imperium worlds in a Subsector that had fallen to Chaos Cultists. In their campaign to reclaim the Subsector, other Regiments joined their cause, but the tide turned when a Company from the Raven Guard joined their efforts. The Company acted as a speartip which allowed the Fourteenth Ynglevian Lancers to succeed in reclaiming twelve worlds from the grip of the Cultists. Finally, after ten years, the Imperium's forces claimed victory, but during their celebrations a Tyranid Hive Fleet suddenly appeared without warning and attacked the Subsector. The Hive Fleet quickly overran the worlds the Regiment had fought to save, claiming a hundred billion souls in the process, and only a few of the Fourteenth Ynglevian Lancers were able to escape to safety, due in large part to the Raven Guard Company's heroic efforts.[1]
