Fulgor Sagramoso was the traitorous Planetary Governor of Karkason, who seceded from the Imperium.[1a]

History

He was a member of the Sagramoso Clan, who had been the loyal rulers of Karkason for thousands of years. This ended, though, when Fulgor became the world's Planetary Governor and declare himself to be an independent sovereign ruler and a god. He would now have control of his volcanic Homeworld's natural resources and would determine who they were sold to. While Fulgor was open to having a trade pact with the Imperium it would on his terms, a treaty of one god with another. Then to prove his divinity to Karkason's people, Fulgor had its Preachers killed, and forced them to worship him and not the Emperor. Fulgor also had the world's Administratum officials killed, ensuring the Imperium was unaware of his acts. This led him to have full control of Karkason and as the years passed he sought to create an empire of his own. Fulgor began to seduce several Governors, mainly from neighboring agricultural Systems, to turn upon the Imperium. He urged them to kill their Preachers and swear fealty to him and not the distant Emperor[1a]. He even somehwo managed to obtain 7 Battle Titans, which Fulgor used to defend his rule of Karkason.[1b]

It would be 20 years after Fulgor seceded, that the Imperium finally retaliated in the form of the Karkason Crusade[1a]. Despite the presence of the Battle Titans, however, Fulgor's forces were defeated and he was killed when his escape ship was destroyed by one of the Crusade's warships.[1c]
