Fyceline
Fyceline is the main ingredient used in the manufacture of Imperial explosives.[1]
Description
Blocks of Fyceline are also used as engine fuel and can, in combination with anti-contaminant tablets, be misappropriated to produce alcohol, an action which is considered illegal by the Departmento Munitorum.[3]
It can also be made into handheld explosives, by having Fyceline powder wrapped into red wax-parchment. These Sticks of Fyceline, or Sticks of Blasting-powder as they are also known as, will then have a detonator threaded into them, or be connected together via a fuse. When ignited, the Sticks will explode with a yellow flash, giving off a roar like a firing mortar-shell and once done, the Fyceline will leave behind a wall of black smoke.[2]
Nearly a ton of fyceline-putty explosives, carried by a transport truck, is capable of atomising vast chunks of a bastion's main gate, also vaporising the carrying vehicle and nearby persons in the process. The explosion produces a pink haze, bright enough to hurt distant onlookers, and a shockwave capable of knocking them onto the ground.[4]
