Gallowglass (also known as Malfi V-c) is an Agri Moon of Malfi in the Malfian Sub-sector.[1] Gallowglass provides food for around 20% of the population of Malfi.[3]
Gallowglass is home to the Shrine of the Seventeen Martyrs, a preceptory of the Order of the Bloody Rose.[2b]
History
In 385.M41 a small force of Adeptus Sororitas died defending Gallowglass from a cult of decay, slaying an incarnate daemon of great power in the process. A permanent shrine was raised to their honour in memoriam of this great deed.[4]
In M41, the famed “sorrowful matins” massacre occurred on Gallowglass where the Cardinal Tyndale was assassinated. His assassination would make infamous the Belasco Galvain Needler as the murder weapon which killed him and a dozen other deacons and priests.[2a]
