Gatrog
Gatrog da Flayer was an Ork Warboss, who took control of Nazgand Spleenripper's hordes after he was killed by the Eldar.[1]
History
While Spleenripper had an arrangement to trade with a nearby Squat enclave for supplies, Gatrog ended this deal. This occurred after he was looking upon a map of his new territory and saw that the Squats' nearby worlds had not been claimed by the Orks. He promptly ordered an attack upon them and stole a Grot's idea, to place some of his Orks within the trade ships sent to the Squat enclave, to bypass their defenses. When the trade ships reached the Squat world Imbach, the Orks stormed out and overran the surprised Abhumans. This signaled the beginning of Waaagh! Gatrog, which successfully defeated the Squats and led Gatrog's hordes to consider him an improvement over Spleenripper. The Abhumans meanwhile swore to avenge themselves against Gatrog and his hordes for their treachery and have since launched repeated attacks on the Orks. Though these have all failed, the Squats have continued their attacks even after Gatrog was succeeded by a new Warobss. Even after Gatrog's death, however, he is still remembered and some in his former hordes, consider da Flayer to be the meanest and baddest Ork to ever live.[1]
