Gerr Lomand

Gerr Lomand, the Gorgon's Eye, was a Praetor of the Iron Hands Legion, who took part in the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]
History
Lomand was a living embodiment of his Legion's resolve and had a sharp tactical foresight, honed by centuries of fighting at the Iron Hands' forefront. It became a weapon as lethal as any blade and gave the Praetor a precise understanding of the forces he had at his command. This allowed Lomand to deploy his forces exactly where and when they would be the most effective on the battlefield. He was also no stranger to direct combat and would lead from the front, while sending his Spider Cyber-Familiar behind enemy lines. The Servo-Skull would then disrupt his foes, as Lomand fought them.[1]
When the Iron Hands were shattered in the Dropsite Massacre, the Praetor's surviving Battle Brothers sought revenge however they could. Lomand, though, was charged with preserving what remained of his Legion instead, in order to ensure they endured into the future. To that end, he sought out to locate and reunite isolated Iron Hands forces, while also safeguarding his Battle Brothers' lives. Chief amongst Lomand's targets for reunification, was the elusive Warleader Shadrak Meduson, who had begun waging a guerrilla war against the Traitors.[1]
