Gordal Luggub
Gordal Luggub was an Ork captain ordered by Snagrod, the Arch-Arsonist of Charadon to lead the initial assault on Rynn's World in 987.M41.[1]
History
Knowing that Snagrod considered him less than trustworthy, Luggub did not expect to survive a direct assault on the homeworld of the Crimson Fists chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, but consoled himself that he would at least have a spectacular death that would live on in Orkish legend. To this end, Luggub suggested an all-out assault from the air, with he and his Drop Legion dropping out of the sky directly into the Fists' fortress-monastery. In an amazing reversal of fortune, the fortress-monastery was instead destroyed when a rogue missile struck its armoury, taking a sizeable number of Marines with it. As a result Luggub's forces were able to land on the surface of Rynn's World almost unscathed. Largely unopposed, the planet quickly came under almost complete Ork control, with only the capital of New Rynn City holding out against the invaders.[1]
