Gothrul's Needle is a Hive in the Eastern hemipshere of Necromunda.[1] Gothrul’s Needle, with a spire rivaling Hive Primus in height, once rivaled Hive Primus as a spaceport. Gang warfare is banned by the Gothrul Council, yet criminal elements thrive in lower levels, challenging volunteer enforcers.[4]

Overview

Despite being largely isolated from the rest of Necromunda's hives due to distance and the ancient laws of House Helmawr, Gothrul's Needle enjoys a unique standard of living. Unlike other areas where education and automation have failed, Gothrul's Needle thrives under a democratic citizen's council. Although the citizens may have fewer freedoms compared to those in Hive Primus, they generally accept the council's rules for the common good.[1]

House Van Saar has established one of its largest enclave in Gothrul’s Needle where they are an integral part to the ruling council, which operates under a unique democratic system. They manage the Great Numerologia, a voting system that involves the hive's eighty-eight million citizens in decision-making on a wide range of issues. This system is facilitated by spider-legged servitors controlled by a central 'mother' servitor. Despite its intent to ensure broad participation, the system is prone to manipulation by House Delaque and possibly Van Saar itself. However, the bureaucratic complexity often renders such efforts ineffective.[2]

The Goliaths of the Titanworks enclave are fully committed to supporting the council's initiatives, and their loyalty is rewarded with advanced technologies and excellent medical care. These Goliaths are exceptional specimens, distinguished by their tall, proud stature, gleaming bald heads, and immaculate forge suits.[1]

House Delaque plays a key role in destabilizing the hive, led by Sych Guvros, whose gangs target upper levels, undermining the council's authority.[4]
