History
The planet was subjugated by the orks that lived on the Gylatan moons. In M41, the planet was liberated from the ork threat by the Astra Militarum. Following a sustained ten-month long campaign, the orks were defeated. Commissar-general Delane Oktar personally killed Warboss Elgoz, the orks' leader, at Tropis Crater Nine.[2]
Unfortunately, during the victory celebrations, several Imperials, including Oktar, drank from a batch of wine that the orks had poisoned some time prior. Although he managed to survive for eight days afterward, the Imperial medics were unable to save Oktar's life.[2] On his deathbed, he promoted Cadet Ibram Gaunt to the rank of full Commissar.[1][2]

Gylatus Decimus is under the control of the Instrumentality of the Gylatus World Flock.[2]
