The Hand of the Archon is a title given to elite Kill Team Units assembled by Archons of the Drukhari's Kabals, when they something needs to be done right.[1]

Description

Composed of a squad of an Archon's most trusted and expert agents, a Hand is armed with an exotic arsenal of their Kabal's macabre weapons to aid in missions. These squads are led by Archsybarites and can also include Disciples of Yaelindra, Elixicants, Flayers, Kabalite Agents, Kabalite Gunners, Crimson Duelists and Skysplinter Assassins.[1]

Known Usage

Operatives

  • Archsybarites lead the Hand of the Archon, they are also powerful combatants, for expert bladework and athletic strength are required to maintain authority.[3]
  • Disciples of Yaelindra specialize in concocting poisons and fielding them in weapons such as Stinger Pistols and Torment Grenades. They are named in honour of Yaelindra, who is the founder of the Lhamaeans poison cult.[1][3]
  • Elixicants are expert applicators of the various products of their Kabal's biochemical industries. Such stimulants, virulent narcotics and arcane synthetic hormones invigorate their fellow Kabalites in varying ways. To the enemy, however, they offer only slow and painful death[3]
  • Flayers are gruesomely adept at generating pain in their victims with their Pain Sculptors. Their murders are neither swift nor clean, and with every pleasing scream they elicit from their foes, they unleash waves of empowering agony.[3]
  • Kabalite Agents are malevolent enforcers. Any prey they cannot painfully cut down with their Splinter Rifles, they slice apart with graceful sweeps of their numerous blades.[3]
  • Kabalite Gunners are quipped with Blasters or Shredders. Such warriors may earn these potent weapons through skill, or kill their way to the position[3]
  • Kabalite Heavy Gunners wield armaments of hellish power : Dark Lances fire midnight beams that can vaporise foes, while Splinter Cannons scythe through the enemy with poisoned shards[3]
  • Crimson Duelists are vicious murder-artists who work with a gory palette of their enemies' viscera. Many hunt with the ostentatious Razorflail, performing signature kills when their Archon requires a highly visible display of power[3]
  • Skysplinter Assassins are scouts, who stand apart from their comrades and are seen os harbouring secret agendas. Such paranoia is a tool they know how to use in their favour, and the ominous sight of their Razorwings haunts both foes and so-called 'allies' alike[3]
