Hectus Carmine was the Governor of the Talledus System in M36.[1]

Biography

When the mad Ecclesiarch Goge Vandire rose to power, Carmine was one of the first to openly speak out against the High Lord of Terra. Vandire chose to make an example of Carmine and his people, invading Talledus itself with a vast army. After months of brutal fighting, Carmine and his "co-conspirators" were captured and trialled. Following a month of public torture, Carmine was burned alive on the steps of his own palace. Not content with this, Vandire ordered a series of purges across the Veritus Sub-Sector.[1]

Eventually, Sebastian Thor rose up and overthrew Vandire. As part of his acts as the new Ecclesiarch, Thor visited a number of holy sites in the Veritus Sub-Sector. On visiting the ruins of Talledus, Thor ordered the construction of a grand monument to Carmine and decreed that, to honour those who fell defending Talledus (Carmine among them), the world would be renamed Benediction.[1]
