Hexathedrals are a type of Imperial Space Station, designed as orbital mustering grounds for Imperial troops preparing for a planetary invasion.[1a]

Description

Hexathedrals feature multiple large tower structures and an outer rim for berthing troop-ships,[1a] such as Devourer Dropships.[2a] At least thirteen ships can simultaneously dock with a Hexathedral.[1a]

They also serve as as planetary assault platforms and as such are equipped with an immense planetary bombardment cannon that is capable of making vast craters on planetary surfaces[2b] as well as striking ground targets with rocket-propelled shells.[2c] Hexathedrals are prefabricated and their pre-formed sections can be assembled in 24 hours by tractor tugs.[2a]

Hexathedrals have tactical chapels, one which is called the Orrery. It has a circular dial thirty metres in diameters set in its centre, projecting a three-dimensional model of the planet the Hexathedral orbits. This light projection shows planetary data, updating itself with new information and is used for deployment plannings.[1a]. Hexathedrals also have powerful cogitators for scanning a planetary surface.[1b]

Hexathedral security personal wears brown armour.[1a]
