Hort Palatine

The Hort Palatine was an Imperial Army Regiment, that defended the Imperial Palace during the Horus Heresy's Siege of Terra.[1b]
History
When the Imperial Palace's Sanctum Imperialis sealed its doors, though, the Regiment became separated. Some were able to withdraw into the Sanctum in time, while others were left outside its walls to face the overwhelming numbers of Warmaster Horus' Traitor forces. Some members of the Hort Palatine who found themselves outside later joined Sigismund's Seconds, which was an army of various Imperial forces, led by the Emperor's Champion Sigismund.[1b]
