History
The House hails from Octavia, a resplendent moon in Segmentum Obscurus which was settled before the Great Crusade. The world itself was rich in minerals and biology, though the greater system had been ravaged by Xenos. In centuries they erected cities carved from marble and obsidian within the teeming jungles of their moon. Soon legends developed of creatures hibernating deep within the jungles that had once ravaged their world. As Octavia was developed these vaults were disturbed, awakening disaster. When the Imperium discovered Octavia, they found a ruined world ruled over tribes led by Knight Nobles. The arrival of the Great Crusade brought stability and rebuilding to Octavia and House Caesarean, yet the distrusting nature of the House never disappeared. When the Horus Heresy broke out, they sided with the Warmaster out of a sheer desire to survive.[3]
The House is closely allied to the Iron Warriors and Legio Krytos, who they fought alongside during the Battle of Tallarn and Battle of Beta-Garmon.[2][3] By the time of the Horus Heresy they fielded at least 150-210 Knights.[3]
Known Knights
- Unrepentant Relict - Knight Warden. Survived the cataclysms of the house during the Age of Strife. Changed hands amongst various tribes 27 times.[3]
- Reborn - Knight Acheron. One of the many such Knights in the house, who were revered due to their role in their own survival during the Age of Strife.[3]
