House Gotrith (officially known as The Dread Household of House Gotrith and informally amongst themselves as The Breakers of Fiends[3a]) is a Traitor Knight House.[1][3a]

Overview
House Gotrith was discovered by the Imperium upon the blasted world of Dallanar Beta fighting back Ork hordes since the Age of Strife. The Imperials were able to finally defeat the Xenos and with the aid of the Forge Worlds of the Belt of Iron the House was rebuilt. However, its scions grew jealous of the attention the Emperor received as the saviour of their world. Seeking glory, they scattered amongst many Expeditionary Fleets, where they gathered an ominous and brutal reputation, slaughtering any who dared defy them or even associate with one who did. However, here they found themselves little more than guards of worlds conquered by those deemed more palatable than the Household. Unwilling to accept this fate, they returned to their homeworld as news of the Horus Heresy broke out. House Gotrith quickly turned to the Warmaster and wiped out much of their world's population in a baptism of blood.[2][3a] By the time of the Heresy the House numbered 140 Knights.[3a]
They fought beside Legio Mortis in the Battle of Beta-Garmon[1] and also took part in the Cataclysm of Iron. Over the war their deeds became darker and they used Knight patterns suitable to intimidation and suppression such as the Knight Acheron.[2]
