Its Knight World is Dragon's End, but like all of the Knight Houses there, Grothelgaard is a vassal of the ruling House Griffith.[1a] As a result of this, the vassal Houses are wholly subservient to Griffith and are sworn to follow the orders of the ruling House's High Monarch. The vassals are made to share elements of Griffith's heraldic insignia[1b] and must aid in Griffith's battles as well.[1a] However, their Knights are allowed to take part in the many martial tournaments held on Dragon's End for standing and prestige. And those who display great feats of foe-slaying in battle, can be allowed to join House Griffith's hereditary ranks.[1b]
