Korvax was a recently created Knight House, whose Knights were members of House Raven who were corrupted by Be'lakor. Their downfall began during the Charadon Campaign, when the Daemon Prince used his powers to sway the population of House Raven's Homeworld, Kolossi, into Heresy. Among those who fell into Be'lakor's grasp were a number of House Raven's Sacristans who secretly corrupted their Knight suits' Thrones. After this was done, Be'lakor had his Daemon forces invade Kolossi and House Raven prepared to defend their world. Most of its Knights, however, where fighting elsewhere in the Charadon Sector under Princep Grevan, leaving the few left on Kolossi heavily outnumbered. They were led by Knight Seneschal Havlorn, and he had the Knights protect their fortress, the Keep Inviolate, which was being used as a refuge for Kolossi's population. The Daemons eventually reached the fortress, however, and Havlorn was preparing his Knights to defend it, when disaster struck.[1a] The Nobles who sat upon the corrupted Thrones Mechanicum were instantly turned into Chaos Knights enthralled to Be'lakor. These corrupted Knights then fired upon their former allies and Seneschal Havlorn was the first to be killed. Many of House Raven's loyalist Knights died soon afterwards and the few remaining survivors were forced to escape. This brought an end to any significant resistance and Kolossi fell to Be'lakor.[1b]
However, a plea for aid had been sent out beforehand and it was answered by Battle Group Tarsus of the Indomitus Crusade. As the Battle Group made its way to Kolossi, they sent a vanguard fleet ahead of them to find out what had occurred. This fleet neared the Knight World even as Havlorn and House Raven's loyalist Knights were being killed. When the vanguard reached Kolossi, though, they were suddenly attacked by Be'lakor's Disciples, who had seen their approach. During the battle that followed, the vanguards dispatched an Adeptus Sororitas strike force to Kolossi, but the corrupted House Raven Knights soon attacked it. Though the vanguard fleet and strike force were both being overwhelmed, Be'lakor knew that Battle Group Tarsus would soon arrive. Rather than risk losing Kolossi, the Daemon Prince used his powers to transfer it deep within the Imperium Nihilus, where he corrupted it.[1b] That was where House Korvax was born and they no longer resemble the Nobles of House Raven they once were. Korvax's nightmarishly deformed Knights are now Be'lakor's servants and they are among his forces that are defending the Fallen Knight World[1c][2], now named Korvosi.[2]
Today, the forces of House Korvax are accompanied by dread omens. Where they appear the stars vanish from the heavens, blotted out by a heavy umbral pall. Light sources flicker and die, and supernatural dread creeps into the minds of those they face. Some enemies panic or engage in acts of self-destruction. The Knights themselves then strike from the shadows, having shown no signs of transporting to the battlefield from orbit. Sometimes, the Knights of House Korvax fight alongside the Alpha Legion or Word Bearers, themselves believed to be devotees of Be'lakor. Sometimes, Daemons appear in their shadows to battle alongside the Knights. Most ominous of all, sometimes even Be'lakor himself appears to lead them to war.[3]
