House Malaspina

House Malaspina is a Navis Nobilite House distrusted by various Space Marine Chapters.[1]
The Navigators of House Malaspina have always been held in a measure of distrust by certain bodies within the Imperium. While the matter is not common knowledge, not a single Space Marine Chapter of the First or Second Foundings ever allows one to operate on their vessels, nor do they ever embark upon a ship navigated by a scion of the House. The reasons for this prejudice are unknown even to the most senior members of the Adeptus Terra and the Holy Ordos, though a few suspect that the House’s tenebrous origins lie in the shrouded past of the cataclysm called the Horus Heresy.[1]
