House Morbidia was a Knight House of the Imperium during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy that eventually joined the forces of Horus.[1]
Overview
Originating from Mars during the Age of Strife, through long-suppressed and forgotten events the House was excommunicated by the Fabricator-General and fought a series of bloody wars with the Adeptus Mechanicus as rebels before being forced to surrender. After this event, they essentially fought as slave-warriors and were prevented from ever again becoming large in number. Sent on bloody missions and consisting of others condemned by the Mechanicum, it in many ways resembled a Penal Legion.[1]
Having long fought alongside the Legio Mortis, during the Heresy the House joined the forces of Horus.[1] They fought beside Legio Mortis in the Battle of Beta-Garmon.[2] At the time of the Heresy they possessed 170-290 Knights, particularly Knight Magaeras, Knight Styrix's, and Knight Atrapos.[4a]
